Sound World Music Club

In partnership with St. George’s and Bristol Beacon we are delighted to announce the launch of the Sound World Music Club. With a range of membership levels to suit everyone from complete beginners to contemporary music enthusiasts (including family/group options), the club is a great way to get the best out of Bristol’s thriving music scene.

  • take a voyage of musical discovery with our bespoke monthly listening lists specially curated and tailored to your tastes and interests
  • receive follow up info on featured pieces and composers
  • experience great live music with free tickets (worth up to £120) to concerts at Bristol’s best venues (including St. George’s, Bristol Beacon and The Mount Without)
  • join other club members in Sound World Music Club member seating areas at concerts
  • receive concert programmes direct to your inbox
  • help shape the future of the club and Sound World itself, with the chance to suggest and vote on future repertoire and commissions
  • where appropriate, members may also be invited to appear on the Sound World podcast.

YOUNG COMPOSERS (23 and under)
There’s also a special membership for young composers who will be able to submit pieces for us to consider for future concerts and to get feedback from professional composers.

Discovery

There’s a bewildering amount of music out there and it can be hard to know where to start. This membership aims to help you expand your musical horizons and find the music that is right for you. Including:

  • monthly listening lists, specially curated to suit your personal interests and tastes
  • follow up info on featured pieces and composers
  • a minimum of 6 free tickets per year (worth c.£120) to Sound World concerts and other recommended events at Bristol Beacon and St. George’s (including London Symphony Orchestra and Manchester Collective)
  • access to members only seating
  • Sound World concert programmes sent direct to your inbox
  • the opportunity to suggest and vote on future Sound World repertoire
  • the chance to attend rehearsals
  • CANCEL AT ANY TIME

Young composer (23 and under)

This level gives young composers the chance to get involved with what we do at a deeper level, providing invaluable practical experience and professional advice.

  • the opportunity to submit your music for us to consider for future performances
  • feedback from professional composers on the submitted work
  • a minimum of 6 free tickets per year (worth c.£120) to Sound World concerts and other recommended events at Bristol Beacon and St. George’s (including London Symphony Orchestra and Manchester Collective)
  • opportunities to gain valuable experience in music education and outreach
  • the chance to attend rehearsals
  • the opportunity to suggest and vote on future Sound World repertoire
  • Sound World programmes sent direct to your inbox

Families & Groups​

If you’d like to go on your musical odyssey as a family or a group of like-minded friends, this option has all the benefits of the Discovery membership but at a reduced cost. You can even combine the benefits of Discovery and Young Composer’s membership by registering one or more members as a young composer.

A membership for anyone wishing to explore the best music of today and the recent past. From the experimental avant-garde to ambient minimalism there’s something for everyone in this vast array of different genres. Sound World Now membership will help find the right ones for you.
